Anotace

The study programme Anglophone Literatures and Cultures builds on the rich tradition of the study of English at Charles University, together with the recent trends in international literary, critical and cultural theories. The programme is divided into the following specialisations: British and Commonwealth Literatures and Studies, American Literature and Studies, Irish Studies, and Critical and Cultural Theory focused on contemporary theoretical approaches and the relation of literature to film and new media. Students take a wide range of mandatory optional courses within their specialisation, complemented by courses from other specialisations and other study programmes offered at Charles University.
